A runway for doers

Start your venture in the world’s most startup-friendly country

Latvian startup ecosystem is young, but dynamic and evolving. In 2021 alone, the local startup community welcomed its first unicorn and attracted a record-breaking amount of foreign investment, while Latvia was named the most startup-friendly country in the world by Index Ventures.

The number of startups in Latvia is growing every year, and even faster since the government introduced a number of support mechanisms – from startup visas for foreign founders to tax incentives, startup-friendly stock option policies, and more. There are currently over 700 startups in Latvia, almost one-fourth of which are launched by foreign founders.

Latvia may be small, but that’s one of our biggest assets. In our close-knit startup community, everyone knows everyone, thus any help founders may need to get their startups off the ground is more often than not just an introduction away. Whereas our international startup events are one of the most value-adding in the world – big names and small crowds equal high chances to rub shoulders with some of the world’s most influential investors.
