Latvian writer Nora Ikstena will be the center of attention for a day at next year's London Book Fair, it has been announced by the organizers, reports.

The names of the three writers from the Baltic States to feature in London were revealed at the Frankfurt Book Fair in Germany, an even larger industry event. Latvia's Nora Ikstena will be joined by Kristina Sabaliauskaitė of Lithuania and Estonia's Mihkel Mutt, as the three Baltic states will be joining forces to showcase their literary wares in London.

The 47th London Book Fair, will take place from 10 – 12 April 2018, at Olympia London. Latvia, Estonia and Lithuania are the next year’s Market Focus countries at the fair, which creates new opportunities for publishing Latvian literature in the English-speaking world. Due to this event, and thanks to the support from the Ministry of Culture of Latvia, dozens of works of Latvian authors will be published this and the coming year.
